ABOUT THE FOUNDER

My name is Michelle Rolinski, I was born in São Paulo/Capital and I have lived in the United States for 12 years. I hold a law degree in Brazil and a MBA in International Business in the US. 

 

CATAVENTO BOOKS was founded to incentive the learning of Brazilian Portuguese through reading. There are several Brazilian and Multicultural families living in the US and Canada that are trying to pass the Portuguese language to their kids there were born abroad but they find it challenge since there are a lack of resources.

The vision I have for CATAVENTO goes beyond the sale of children's books in Portuguese, the intention is to create a channel to help Brazilian and multicultural families in the United States e Canada, like mine, to keep and pass their Heritage Language.
